Best on dark brown shirt. Located just blocks away from Don the Beachcomber, Ray Haller opened his Seven Seas Restaurant and Bar which quickly became a hot spot for Hollywood celebrities. The Seven Seas decor featured lava rocks, tropical plants and a bar with a corrugated metal roof which enhanced what was it’s coolest feature, an indoor tropical rainstorm with authentic thunder sounds. </p> Bob Brooks took over the Seven Seas in the late 1930’s and set about stealing bartenders from Don the Beachcomber and introducing live entertainment to the space featuring a Polynesian musical revue. Come the 1960’s restaurant was sold again and became The Seven Seas Supper Club and quickly went to seed. The low point when was new owner was tried, alongside John Holmes, for their roles in the infamous Wonderland murders.
